Les Vergées

This is a very ambitious conversion project that aimed to transform a small scale school building in Normandy to a house. The infrastructure were set to be rebuilt with new technologies. Large spaces that one finds in a school infrastructure allowed to create spectacular kitchen and dining room, or the big living room. The old stone texture were recovered and exposed to emphasize the story of the building. In order to optimize the space, the attic was redesigned to become two extra loft style rooms, or the outdoor toilet facilities to become a winter garden and a large vine cave.
